Our very own, Shannon Nichele Bryant, athlete agent and management consultant from Prince George’s County, MD was recognized as the youngest team owner (male or female) among the WABA and ABA professional basketball leagues. The ABA, founded in 1996 and relaunched in 2000, has been successfully operating in harmony with the NBA since it’s birth. The WABA, founded in 2013 and discontinued by the ABA, was most recently re-launched in 2017 and supported by the ABA’s leadership.
WABA Media Director, Rob Hill, interviewed Ms. Bryant, who goes by “Shannon Nichele” in her sports management business, to learn more about her athletic background and vision for women in sports.
